By default, every out-of-stock variant in your store shows Notify me when back in stock. For products you’ll never restock - final-sale items, seasonal one-offs, discontinued lines - turn Notify Me off so the variant shows the normal sold-out state instead.
Steps
- In Shopify admin, open Apps → Bloom.
- Go to Products.
- Select the product, then the variant you want to disable.
- Under the Notify Me section, switch the Enabled toggle off.
- Click Save.
Repeat for each variant you want to disable. If you want every variant of a product disabled, you’ll need to set this on each variant.
What happens after
- The Notify Me button stops appearing on the storefront for that variant.
- Any existing sign-ups in Klaviyo are untouched - they stay in your list and will still receive notifications if you ever re-enable Notify Me and the product comes back in stock.
- Pre-order (if configured on the same variant) is unaffected.
Disabling Notify Me per product is the right move for final-sale items. To turn Notify Me off across the whole store, remove the Bloom embed from your theme (Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds → toggle Bloom off). This will also disable pre-order.
