Glide Glide measures page views on your Shopify store and classifies each one: Human, Agents, Bots or Suspect. A theme app embed does the capture - no theme-file edits. Results show in a Traffic report and a live Activity feed inside Shopify admin. Glide is a separate app from Bloom, currently in alpha.

How it works

  • One embed captures page views. The Glide app embed sends one record per page view. It records home, product, collection, page, blog, search, cart and policy pages. Account, checkout and order pages are never recorded.
  • Each view gets a classification. Glide flags known bot user agents, detected browser automation and unusual traffic spikes, and counts the rest as ordinary activity. See Traffic report.
  • The report updates hourly. Page views are rolled up every hour, so the newest hour can lag. The activity feed shows views within seconds.
  • Consent gates visitor IDs. Without analytics consent, Glide sends no visitor ID or UTM values and writes nothing to the browser. See Data and privacy.
  • Assistants can read it. Shopify’s Sidekick and connected AI assistants read the same data. Neither can change anything.

What you need to do

  1. Enable the Glide app embed - one toggle in the theme editor
  2. Read your traffic report - audiences, page types, countries and sources
  3. Watch the activity feed - the latest page views as they arrive
  4. Ask Sidekick about your traffic - optional
  5. Connect an AI assistant - optional, read only
