# Configure a Notify Me product

> Override the Notify Me button label and form heading on individual Shopify variants from Bloom's Products page in the admin.

Notify Me is **on by default** for every out-of-stock variant once Bloom is installed. You only need to visit this page if you want to:

* Customise the button text or form heading for a specific product
* Turn it off for a specific product - see [Disable Notify Me on a product](/bloom/notify-me/disable)

## Steps

The Bloom Products page is the primary editor. You can also edit a single product or variant from Shopify's product page - see [From the Shopify product or variant page](#from-the-shopify-product-or-variant-page) below.

1. In Shopify admin, open **Apps → Bloom**.
2. Go to **Products**.
3. Select a product, then a variant.
4. Fill in the fields below.
5. Click **Save**.

The **Enabled** switch sits in column 1, matching the pre-order layout. Notify Me is on by default - toggle it off only for variants you'll never restock.

## Fields

* **Enabled** - on by default. Turn off for variants you don't want offering Notify Me - see [Disable Notify Me on a product](/bloom/notify-me/disable).
* **Button label** - override the default button text, e.g. *"Register your interest"* instead of *"Notify me when back in stock"*.
* **Form heading** - the heading shown above the email/phone form when a shopper opens it.

<Tip>
  Clear a field to remove a per-variant override. The variant falls back to your store-wide defaults at **Apps → Bloom → Content → Notify me**.

## From the Shopify product or variant page

Edit a single product or variant inline from Shopify's own product page.

1. In Shopify admin, open the product (or one of its variants).
2. In the **Purchase options** card, click **Bloom**.
3. Edit the same fields listed above.
4. Click **Save**.

On a **product** page, edits apply to every variant of the product at once. Open the variant page for per-variant edits.

  Storefront-wide defaults for the button label and form heading are set on the **Content** page. Use the per-variant fields only when you want a product-specific override.

## Storefront defaults

Display mode, hiding Notify Me on pre-order variants, contact methods, and marketing opt-in are store-wide - set them in [Notify Me settings](/bloom/notify-me/settings).

## When Notify Me shows on the storefront

Notify Me appears on a variant when **all** of these are true:

* Bloom is enabled in the theme
* The variant is out of stock in Shopify
* Notify me is enabled (it is by default)
